A vibrant sky is something that just excites me. Sunsets and sunrises with bursts of color across the sky fill me with happiness. It’s crazy to me that at dawn or dusk you look up at the sky and see a myriad of colors; you could have soft pink/purple or blazing red/orange. You can have a sunset on Monday with wispy and disorderly clouds in soft pastels, on Tuesday have meticulously tidy puffs reflecting brilliant shades, and then on Wednesday have strips of dark blue and purple clouds as the sky gets ready to drench the earth. The sky is different every. single. day, and that’s spectacular.
Experiencing a sunset from a window is beautiful, but I think the experience is 10x better if you’re outside. The expanse of the skies and breathing in fresh air puts everything into perspective and helps me see outside of the inconsequential things that take so much of my time. Something I love most about sunsets is that anyone can enjoy them anywhere that they are. You don’t have to be wealthy or famous, and you can appreciate one in a neighborhood, on the side of the road, or halfway across the world. You can be alone, or with friends, or with family. We have exposure to glorious beauty even in the most ordinary settings, and I think that’s magnificent.
